Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 7, 2026 · Last Updated: August 7, 2026
PrimeBizValue respects the sensitivity of the information business owners entrust to us.
This Privacy Policy explains how PrimeBizValue, together with the entity that owns and operates it ("PrimeBizValue," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects information when you visit PrimeBizValue.com or use our business valuation tools, reports, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
Our business is providing business valuation information — not selling personal information. We collect and retain only the information reasonably needed to operate and improve the Service, complete transactions, protect our users and business, and meet legal obligations.
This Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into, and forms part of, our Terms of Service. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy — including any claim relating to the collection, use, disclosure, or handling of information — is subject to the dispute-resolution (including binding arbitration), governing-law, and limitation-of-liability provisions of the Terms of Service, which apply to this Privacy Policy as if fully set forth here.
1. Scope of This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the PrimeBizValue website, valuation process, customer communications, marketing forms, and related online services.
It does not apply to websites, applications, or services operated independently by third parties, even if linked from our Service.
2. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with PrimeBizValue.
A. Business and Financial Information You Submit
When you use the valuation Service, you may provide information about a business, including:
- revenue;
- cost of goods sold;
- operating expenses;
- payroll or owner compensation;
- discretionary expenses;
- debt or financing expenses;
- depreciation and amortization;
- profit and loss information;
- financial adjustments or potential add-backs;
- business type, industry, size, or operating characteristics; and
- financial statements or other documents you choose to upload.
Some business records may contain information relating to identifiable individuals, such as business owners, employees, or contractors.
Please Do Not Submit Unnecessary Sensitive Personal Information
PrimeBizValue does not need Social Security numbers, personal bank-account numbers, complete payment-card numbers, passwords, medical information, or similar highly sensitive personal information to generate a standard valuation report. Please remove or redact such information before uploading documents whenever reasonably possible.
If sensitive personal information is incidentally included in a document you upload (for example, an SSN appearing on a loan schedule or a payroll file), we will treat it consistently with the safeguards described in Section 11, will not use it for any purpose beyond generating and delivering your report, and will delete it from active systems on the same schedule described in Section 10 for uploaded source documents. Submitting such information remains your responsibility, as described in our Terms of Service.
If you submit information concerning another individual or business, you represent that you have authority to provide that information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
B. Contact and Account Information
We may collect information such as:
- name;
- email address;
- telephone number;
- company name;
- job title or role;
- mailing address; and
- communications you send to us.
C. Purchase and Transaction Information
When you purchase a report, we collect information associated with the transaction, such as:
- product or report purchased;
- purchase price;
- transaction date;
- payment status;
- transaction or payment-processor identifiers; and
- billing-related information made available to us by our payment processor.
Payment-card processing is handled by third-party payment processors such as Stripe. PrimeBizValue does not intentionally store complete payment-card numbers or card security codes on its own systems.
D. Device, Internet, and Usage Information
When you use the Site, we or our service providers may automatically receive information such as:
- IP address;
- browser type;
- operating system;
- device type;
- referring and exit pages;
- pages or features viewed;
- dates and times of visits;
- interactions with the Service;
- approximate geographic location derived from IP address;
- diagnostic information; and
- cookie or similar technology identifiers.
E. Communications
If you contact us, request support, or otherwise communicate with PrimeBizValue, we may retain the content of the communication and associated contact information.
F. Derived Information
The Service generates information derived from the financial and business information you submit, including:
- normalized or recast financial data;
- classifications of expenses;
- potential add-backs;
- estimated SDE or Adjusted EBITDA;
- valuation estimates or ranges;
- analytical observations; and
- other information generated as part of your report.
We may aggregate and deidentify derived information across multiple customers (for example, to develop or refine benchmarks, multiples, or valuation methodology) as described further in Section 15. We will not publicly disclose your identifiable business or financial information as part of this process.
3. Sources of Information
We collect information primarily:
- directly from you;
- automatically when you use the Site;
- from payment processors and other service providers involved in completing your transaction; and
- from information generated through our analysis of data you provide.
We do not purchase consumer financial profiles from data brokers for purposes of generating PrimeBizValue reports.
4. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- provide and operate the Service;
- analyze financial information you submit;
- generate, deliver, and maintain valuation reports;
- calculate or estimate financial metrics;
- process purchases and payments;
- authenticate transactions and prevent fraud;
- provide customer support;
- troubleshoot technical issues;
- communicate with you about a report or transaction;
- maintain transaction, accounting, and tax records;
- enforce our Terms of Service;
- investigate misuse, security incidents, or unlawful activity;
- maintain, secure, and improve the reliability of the Service;
- develop and refine our valuation methodology and benchmarks using aggregated, deidentified data;
- understand how users interact with the Service;
- comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, and legal obligations;
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and
- send marketing communications where permitted by law and consistent with your communication preferences.
We may also use information for another purpose disclosed at the time of collection, or with your consent where required by law.
5. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Processing
PrimeBizValue uses automated technologies, which may include artificial intelligence and machine-learning systems, to assist in processing information submitted through the Service.
For example, automated systems may assist with:
- reading uploaded financial documents;
- extracting financial line items;
- organizing financial information;
- classifying expenses;
- identifying potential financial adjustments or add-backs;
- generating recast financial information; and
- producing information used in a valuation report.
At launch, PrimeBizValue uses commercial artificial-intelligence services provided by Anthropic, including its Claude API, for certain processing functions. Information submitted for AI-assisted analysis may be transmitted to and processed by Anthropic to provide those services to PrimeBizValue.
PrimeBizValue does not instruct Anthropic to use customer financial information to train or improve general-purpose AI models. Under Anthropic's commercial-service practices in effect as of the Effective Date of this Privacy Policy, Anthropic states that inputs and outputs submitted through its commercial services are not used to train its models by default unless a commercial customer affirmatively opts in or submits qualifying feedback. Anthropic maintains its own retention, security, safety, and legal-compliance practices.
Third-party AI providers may change their technologies, policies, and contractual terms over time, and PrimeBizValue may change AI or technology providers as the Service evolves. We will update this Privacy Policy when a material change to our processing practices requires disclosure.
Automated analysis can make mistakes. Limitations applicable to PrimeBizValue valuation reports are described in our Terms of Service.
6. How We Disclose Information
We do not sell personal information to data brokers, and we do not provide customer financial information to third parties for their independent direct-marketing purposes.
We may disclose information in the following circumstances.
A. Service Providers
We use third-party service providers to operate PrimeBizValue, which may include companies providing payment processing, artificial-intelligence processing, cloud hosting, databases and data storage, document processing, email delivery, analytics, fraud prevention, cybersecurity, customer support, and other technical or operational services.
Providers used at launch include:
Stripe — payment processing and related transaction services.
Anthropic — AI-assisted processing of information as described in Section 5.
Resend — email delivery associated with reports, receipts, or other communications.
Vercel / Supabase — hosting, database, and infrastructure services supporting operation, storage, security, and delivery of the Service.
These providers receive information as reasonably necessary to perform services for PrimeBizValue and are subject to their applicable contractual, privacy, and security obligations.
B. Professional Advisers
We may disclose information to attorneys, accountants, auditors, insurers, consultants, and other professional advisers where reasonably necessary for legitimate business, compliance, or legal purposes.
C. Legal and Safety Disclosures
We may disclose information if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
- comply with law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process;
- respond to lawful governmental requests;
- investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
- protect the rights, property, or safety of PrimeBizValue, our users, or others;
- enforce our agreements; or
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Where legally permitted and reasonably practicable, we seek to limit disclosures to information relevant to the request.
D. Business Transactions
If PrimeBizValue or its owner is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be reviewed, transferred, or disclosed as part of that transaction. Any successor's handling of personal information remains subject to applicable law and any privacy commitments legally binding on the transferred information.
E. With Your Direction or Consent
We may disclose information when you ask or authorize us to do so.
7. We Do Not Sell Personal Information
PrimeBizValue is not in the business of selling customer information. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration, we do not sell customer-uploaded financial information, we do not provide customer financial information to data brokers, and we do not use customer financial information to create advertising profiles for unrelated third parties.
As of the Effective Date, PrimeBizValue does not use personal information for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising based on a person's activity across unrelated websites or services. If those practices materially change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any choices or notices required by applicable law before implementing the change where required.
8. Email, Telephone, and Text Communications
Service and Transactional Communications
If you purchase or request a PrimeBizValue report, we may use your contact information to send communications reasonably related to that transaction or our relationship with you, including reports, receipts, customer-support communications, security notices, administrative messages, and important updates concerning the Service.
You may not be able to opt out of certain transactional or legally required communications while continuing to use the relevant Service.
Marketing Email
If you subscribe to marketing communications, we may send you information about PrimeBizValue, business valuation, educational content, products, services, or related offerings. You may unsubscribe using the mechanism in the message or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing email does not prevent us from sending transactional or service communications.
Calls and Text Messages
Where PrimeBizValue offers an option to receive promotional calls or text messages, any required consent will be presented separately at the point where the telephone number is collected. Consent to receive marketing calls or text messages is not a condition of purchasing a PrimeBizValue report unless expressly permitted by applicable law. You may request that marketing text messages stop by replying STOP or using another opt-out method provided in the message. Message and data rates may apply.
9. Cookies and Similar Technologies
PrimeBizValue and its service providers may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies to operate essential Site functionality, maintain session or workflow information, remember preferences, prevent fraud or abuse, measure Site performance, diagnose errors, and understand general usage of the Service.
We do not currently use cookies for third-party behavioral advertising.
Do Not Track and Preference Signals
Because there is no universally accepted technical standard governing all "Do Not Track" signals, our Site may not respond differently to those signals. Where applicable law requires recognition of a legally valid browser-based privacy preference or opt-out signal, we will process that signal as required. Because PrimeBizValue does not currently sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, such signals may not materially change how the Site operates.
10. Data Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, considering the nature and sensitivity of the information, why it was collected, whether it remains necessary to provide the Service, customer-support and fraud/security needs, applicable statutes of limitation, accounting and tax requirements, contractual obligations, and legal or regulatory requirements.
Uploaded Financial Documents
Original uploaded financial documents are ordinarily deleted from our active systems within 30 days after report generation, unless a longer period is reasonably required to resolve a customer-support, security, fraud, or legal matter.
Transaction and Accounting Records
Transaction, purchase, and accounting records are typically retained for at least seven (7) years to satisfy federal and state tax recordkeeping requirements, and may be retained longer where necessary for fraud prevention or legal defense.
Third-Party Processing
Information processed by service providers may remain in their systems for periods governed by their own contractual obligations, technical requirements, security practices, or applicable law. For example, Anthropic currently states that standard Claude API inputs and outputs are generally deleted from its backend within 30 days, subject to exceptions such as legal or usage-policy requirements or a different contractual retention arrangement.
When information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete, destroy, anonymize, or deidentify it, subject to technical and legal limitations.
11. Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information appropriate to its nature and sensitivity, which may include access controls, authentication, encryption in transit, encryption or other protections for stored information, restricted access to financial information, infrastructure and application security, service-provider security controls, logging or monitoring, and incident-response procedures.
Access to customer information is limited to persons and service providers with a legitimate need to access it in connection with their responsibilities.
No website, network, database, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, lost, or destroyed without authorization. If we become aware of a security incident requiring notification under applicable law, we will provide legally required notifications. Our liability arising from any security incident is governed by the Limitation of Liability provision of our Terms of Service, as incorporated above.
12. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Regardless of whether a particular state privacy statute applies to PrimeBizValue, you may contact us to request that we provide information about personal information associated with you, provide a copy of certain personal information, correct inaccurate personal information, delete certain personal information, or update your communication preferences.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Verification may involve confirming information reasonably necessary to determine that the requester is the individual to whom the information relates, or is otherwise authorized to make the request. We will not request more information than reasonably necessary for verification.
Limitations
A request may be denied or limited where permitted by law, including where information must be retained to complete a transaction, provide a requested Service, comply with law, maintain tax or accounting records, detect or prevent fraud, protect security, exercise or defend legal claims, enforce agreements, or protect the rights of another person. We may retain a limited record of a privacy request and our response to document compliance.
13. Additional U.S. State Privacy Rights
Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, which may include rights to confirm whether personal information is being processed, access it, correct inaccuracies, delete certain personal information, obtain a portable copy, opt out of certain sales, opt out of targeted advertising, opt out of certain profiling, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, obtain information regarding categories collected or disclosed, use an authorized agent, and appeal certain decisions.
Not every state privacy statute applies to every company or type of information — some contain business-size thresholds or exclude information processed in a commercial context. Where an applicable law provides a right not otherwise described here, PrimeBizValue will honor it as required.
Non-Discrimination
Where required by applicable law, PrimeBizValue will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
Authorized Agents
Where permitted by applicable law, an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf. We may require appropriate evidence of authorization and may independently verify your identity where permitted by law.
Appeals
If applicable law gives you a right to appeal our decision on a privacy request, submit an appeal by replying to our decision or emailing hello@primebizvalue.com with the subject line Privacy Appeal.
14. California Privacy Disclosures
California residents may have rights under California privacy law depending on PrimeBizValue's activities and applicable statutory thresholds. For purposes of California's online privacy disclosure requirements: categories of information collected are in Section 2, purposes of use are in Section 4, and categories of recipients are in Section 6.
PrimeBizValue does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are generally used under California privacy law, and does not knowingly sell or share personal information of individuals under 18.
California residents may contact us using the information in Section 18.
15. Deidentified and Aggregated Information
We may create information that has been aggregated or deidentified so that it is not reasonably capable of being associated with an identifiable individual, and use it for purposes such as understanding general Service usage, improving Service performance, evaluating and refining valuation methodology and benchmarks, conducting statistical analysis, developing business insights, or improving products and services — including future products built on aggregated valuation data across our customer base.
Where required by applicable law, we will take reasonable measures designed to ensure that information treated as deidentified is not associated with an identifiable individual, and will not attempt to reidentify it except as permitted by law (such as to evaluate whether deidentification measures are effective).
Nothing in this section authorizes PrimeBizValue to publicly disclose identifiable customer financial information.
16. Children's Privacy
PrimeBizValue is designed for business owners, prospective business buyers, and other adults using the Service for legitimate business purposes. The Service is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase or use the valuation Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information through the Service from children under 13. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child in circumstances where it should not have been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Parents or legal guardians who believe a child has provided personal information to PrimeBizValue may contact us below.
17. International Users
PrimeBizValue is based in the United States, and the Service is currently intended primarily for businesses and users located in the United States. If you access the Service from another country, information you provide may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate, which may have data-protection laws different from those where you reside. Use of PrimeBizValue from outside the United States does not mean the Service is intended to satisfy every privacy, financial-services, or business-valuation requirement applicable in that jurisdiction.

19. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, our technology, our service providers, our information practices, or applicable law. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top. If a change materially affects how we collect, use, or disclose personal information, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by applicable law. Changes apply from the effective date of the updated Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
